This tour spends the first two nights and the last one in Hovringen. Here we stay in twin rooms in Oigardseter Fjellstue. You can leave un-needed kit at Oigardseter, at your own risk, while on tour.

At Hovringen we get our ski legs back with a day on nearby hills. Then, carrying enough kit and clothing for the next five days, we ski east for 20km to the large DNT hut at Rondvassbu, right in the middle of the Rondane national park. Rondvassbu is staffed and provides very good meals. It also has hot showers (pay locally) and we use bunkrooms rather than large dormitories.

With four nights at Rondvassbu we can attempt rounded peaks like Simlepiggen (1721m) and explore the high corries of the Rondane, or ski along Rondvatn lake and climb to the watershed of the valley Langglupdal.

We expect you will have your own metal-edged skis and climbing skins and we do not include them in the price. But we can arrange local hire for a cost of ₤70 (for skis and skins). This needs to be requested at the time of booking.
