Introduction to Touring
Our new introduction to touring holiday spends six
nights at Dalseter Høyfjellshotell >>
and one night in a remote DNT hut. It is aimed at experienced
cross-country skiers who have done some off-track skiing and would now
like to try a little touring.
On the days at Dalseter we will ski at about the level
of an Introduction to Off-track Skiing holiday.
In mid-week we will set off for the hut at Storhøliseter.
It is unstaffed and we will make our own meals from supplies kept at the
hut, boosted by some food we will carry in with us. Everyone is expected
to help with general hut duties. Accommodation at the hut is in
bunkrooms.
After our night at the hut we will ski back to Dalseter
and spend the rest of the holiday there. (Our rooms will be kept for us
while we are on tour - we do not need to vacate them.)
Hire of metal-edged ski equipment is included in the
price. Climbing skins are needed and can be hired from us at a cost of
£15 per week. (Must be reserved in advance.)

• Prices are per adult on a twin-share basis at Dalseter (and in
bunkrooms
at the hut) and include flights from London.
• Reduction for no flights: - £150.
• Meal package: winter pension (breakfast, packed lunch & dinner).
• Single room supplement (at Dalseter only): £85 per week.
• Supplement for south-facing room at Dalseter: £50 per person per week.
• You need a sheet sleeping bag for the night at the hut.
