Cross-country skiing groups in Kandersteg

About 40km of prepared XC ski tracks wind around the village. Some are quite easy, like the Blue track that follows the bank of the Kander River. But some are not so easy, and our groups will have a chance to test their snowplough on the Green track which goes past the ski-jump, and on the Yellow panorama loipe that encircles the village. Above Kandersteg there are very scenic tracks at Oeschinensee (1600m) which you reach by chairlift, and at Sunnbuel (1900m) which you reach by cable-car. For even more choice you can take the train to the next valley, the Lotschental where there are about 35km of tracks, some climbing up to about 1700m.

Our package includes a loipe pass, and also a Swiss Card which covers your journeys between any Swiss arrival airport and Kandersteg and gives half-price travel on most local transport.  (You should allow about CHF60 for local transport.)

We operate this holiday on a land-only basis (without flights).
There are plenty of mainstream, no-frills and charter flights into Zurich, Basel and Geneva and we leave it to you to find the best deal for yourself. As rail travel in Switzerland is famously well-organised, getting to your holiday village is no problem.
