Intermediate off-track at Høvringen

This group holiday is for seasoned off-track skiers who are comfortable on rolling terrain and who enjoy long days out on the hill. You certainly don’t need to be a stylish skier. We will climb up the hills steadily at a gentle angle and you can ski down them using traverses and kick-turns if you like. But you do need to be able to cover the ground efficiently and with confidence: it is important not to hold up the rest of the group.

The emphasis is on exploring the hills and dales on the edge of the Rondane National Park, occasionally reaching some fine summits at about 1500m. Each day we will ski on prepared loipe on our way to and from the off-track areas.

Skis with full metal-edges are needed, and they are included in the hire package. Climbing skins are needed and can be hired from us at a cost of £15 per week. (Must be reserved in advance.)
