Scharnitz bei Seefeld
Scharnitz is
at the edge of the Olympiaregion Seefeld, which has about 280km of
well-maintained tracks. It also links with a loipe network that goes first to the attractive village of
Mittenwald and then on to Garmisch, one of Germany`s foremost winter
resorts.
A loipe pass is needed for this area and is included in
the holiday price. On some days we are likely to make short rail
journeys to Seefeld or into Germany.
We operate this holiday on a land-only basis (without flights or
airport transfers). You join and leave at our hotel.
Scharnitz is easily reached by rail
from Innsbruck main station (under an hour) or from Munich airport (3
hours). For German rail times visit www.bahn.com. For Austrian times go
to www.oebb.at.
German Rail offers an attractive Bavaria Ticket which
covers one days`
travel within Bavaria. It costs about 30 euros and covers up to 5
people. It would take you from Munich airport to Mittenwald, on the
German border just 5km from Scharnitz, and from there, by arrangement,
our hotelier would collect you by car. For more details go to www.bahn.com
and enter regional ticket in the search box.
Please do not commit yourself to any flights or other arrangements until
you have confirmed with us that the holiday is definitely operating.
