Accommodation: Hotel Alpina

Hotel Alpina is a small and friendly 2-star hotel. It has been run by Hermann Hari and his brother Peter since 1980. Peter is the cook while Hermann is the manager. It has 25 bedrooms, all with shower and wc, TV and radio.

The meal arrangement is half board, but the hotel can provide a packed lunch at a cost of CHF12 per person per day (order the evening before). Alternatively, lunches can be bought in restaurants beside the ski tracks.

At the end of each January Kandersteg commemorates the Belle Epoque period of the early 1900s, with a week of traditional activities like sledging, bob-races and tea dancing. Our hotel serves a special Belle Epoque dinner on 22 January. Many guests will dress for it in typical Belle Epoque style.
